Ray Lane

Ray Lane is a Managing Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Mr. Lane currently serves as an active member on the Boards of Fisker Automotive and Hewlett-Packard. He is also on the Board of Quest Software. Prior to KPCB, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Oracle. Before joining Oracle, Mr. Lane was a Senior Partner with Booz Allen Hamilton. Prior to Booz Allen Hamilton, he served as Division Vice President with EDS. In addition, he spent ten years with IBM in various product management, sales, and marketing positions. Mr. Lane received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and an honorary PhD in science from West Virginia University. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Mellon University, is on the Board of Governors of WVU, and serves as Vice Chairman of Special Olympics International.
Dr. Kamel Maamria

Dr. Kamel Maamria is Head of the General Investments Portfolio and Executive Director of Qatar Holding. He manages the global portfolio of investments of Qatar Holding which includes also Automotive Sector portfolio companies Volkswagen and Porsche. Prior to Qatar Holding, Dr. Maamria was Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group. He was also BCG head of Private Equity and M&A in the Middle East. Between 1998 and 2000, Dr. Maamria was based in Silicon Valley with A.T. Kearney advising global corporations on setting up technology start-ups. Dr. Maamria holds a BS, MS and a Ph.D from Tohoku University, Japan.
Timothy Shriver

Timothy Shriver is a social leader, educator, activist, film producer, and business entrepreneur. As Chairman & CEO of Special Olympics, he serves nearly 4 million Special Olympics athletes in 179 countries. He has transformed Special Olympics into a movement that focuses on acceptance, inclusion, and respect for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Mr. Shriver created exciting new Special Olympics initiatives in athlete leadership, cross-cultural research, health, and education. Among them, Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® has become the world’s largest public health screening and education program for people with intellectual disabilities, and Special Olympics Get Into It®, together with Unified Sports®, promotes inclusion and acceptance.
Before joining Special Olympics in 1995, Mr. Shriver was and remains a leading educator focusing on the social and emotional development in learning. He co-founded and currently chairs the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), the leading research organization in the U.S. in the field of social and emotional learning.
Mr. Shriver earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University, a Master's degree from Catholic University, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Connecticut.
Mindy Grossman

Mindy Grossman is Chief Executive Officer of HSN, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSNI) and a member of the company's Board of Directors. In this capacity, she oversees a $3 billion retail portfolio, which encompasses HSN, a leading interactive multichannel retailer and Cornerstone, a portfolio of multichannel brands, including Frontgate, Garnet Hill and Ballard Designs. Since joining the company in 2006, Ms. Grossman has been responsible for transforming HSN into a lifestyle network, diversifying its portfolio of brands and personalities, and spearheading efforts to evolve the linear network into a multiplatform business. Prior to taking the company public in 2008, Ms. Grossman had been Chief Executive Officer of IAC Retailing, a business segment of InterActiveCorp.
A 34-year veteran of the retail and apparel industries, Ms. Grossman joined IAC Retailing from Nike, Inc., where she served as Global Vice-President and led Nike's $4 billion apparel business from 2000 to 2006. In addition, she was responsible for the development and growth of Nike's global women's business and served as Co-chair of its Women's Leadership Council. Prior to Nike, Ms. Grossman was CEO of Polo Jeans Company and held other senior level positions at Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Oxford Industries.
In 2011, Ms. Grossman was named Corporate Innovator of the Year at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® Florida Awards, and she was recognized as one of Fast Company's Top 100 Most Creative People in Business. In 2010, Ms. Grossman was ranked by the Financial Times as one of the top 50 women in world business, and in 2009 Forbes magazine named her one of the world's 100 most powerful women. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Retail Federation, as well as Cosmetic Executive Women. She is Co-Chair of the Fashion Institute of Technology's Executive Women in Fashion Advisory Board, and is also a member of the Advisory Board of the J. Baker School of Retail at the Wharton School of Business.
Scott Sandell

Scott Sandell joined NEA in 1996 and became a General Partner in 2000. Scott focuses on investments in information technology and alternative energy, and is responsible for NEA’s activities in China. Present board memberships include Bloom Energy, DreamFactory, Fusion-io, HelioVolt, Lianlian Pay, SolFocus, Spreadtrum Communications (NASDAQ: SPRD), SugarCRM, TabbedOut, Tableau Software, Telegent Systems, and Workday. He also works closely with Fisker Automotive. He has sponsored investments in 3ware (acquired by Applied Micro Circuits Corporation), Amplitude Software (acquired by Critical Path), Data Domain (acquired by EMC), Fineground Networks (acquired by Cisco), Neoteris (acquired by Juniper Networks, (NASDAQ: JNPR), NetIQ (NASDAQ: NTIQ), Playdom (acquired by Disney), Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) and WebEx (NASDAQ: WEBX). Scott is also a member of the board of the National Venture Capital Association.
Mr. Sandell started his career at the Boston Consulting Group and later joined C-ATS Software as the company's first salesman. He founded and ran the European Subsidiary before attending Stanford Business School. During and after business school, Mr. Sandell was a Product Manager at Microsoft, where he worked on Windows 95. In addition to an MBA from Stanford, Scott holds an AB in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
Lawrence Penn
Lawrence E. Penn III is a member of the Board of Directors at Fisker Automotive and is a military officer turned financier, Lawrence Penn is a Managing Director at The Camelot Group, a Private Equity Investment and Advisory firm that provides investment and advisory services to Fortune 2000 companies. The Firm manages several private equity funds and co-investment funds focused on the secondary direct and growth equity markets. Mr. Penn was previously an Investment Banker at Lazard and a Portfolio Manager in the Private Equity Group of JP Morgan Investment Management (JPMIM) where he managed committed and invested capital and served on the Advisory Boards of several private equity groups. Prior to joining JPMIM, he worked in the Equities Division of JP Morgan Securities, Inc. He has also worked in the Alternative Asset Investment Division of the New York State Common Retirement Fund where he had responsibilities for analyzing and conducting due diligence on investments.
Mr. Penn served as a Captain in the U.S. Army where he led logistics operations in Europe and managed one of the largest military communities in the United States Army European Command. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the United States Army General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award (USAREUR), and the United States Army V Corps Distinguished Leader Award. He earned a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point an MA in International Business from University of Maryland European Division and an MS in Management Information Systems, from University of Maryland European Division as well as an MBA in Finance from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Presently, he serves as a Member and Sponsor for several organizations, charities and foundations to include The Clinton Global Initiative, The Council on Foreign Relations (Chairman’s Circle and Harold Pratt Associate), MetricStream Inc. Barry W. Huff

Barry Huff brings to the board four decades of international financial experience with a deep understanding and development of thought leadership around Deloitte LLP’s services to client audit committees and management. As Vice Chairman from 1995 to 2008, he oversaw and directed accounts for the multi-billion dollar accounting firm’s largest clients. Mr. Huff’s extensive automotive auditing experience as Deloitte's Lead Client Service Partner and Advisory Partner to General Motors and Advisory Partner for tier-one automotive suppliers PPG Industries and ArvinMentor further expands and reinforces the level of auto industry knowledge contained in this already solid group of leaders.
Dr. Hans-Joachim Shöpf

Dr. Hans-Joachim Shöpf has an automotive career spanning 38 years including some of the most senior positions in the German automotive industry. He has worked for large OEMs and served on the boards for Ballard Power Systems, Vancouver, and Valmet Automotive, the highly regarded contract manufacturer that is providing the Fisker Karma. As one of the influences on modern automotive research and development, Dr. Schöpf held critical positions at Mercedes Benz, including Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of Mercedes Car Group with links to Chrysler, Mitsubishi and McLaren; Senior Vice President (SVP) A-and C-Class; SVP Passenger Cars, overall advanced development and IPM; SVP manufacturing S- E- and C-Class. His experience overseeing the development and implementation of new automotive technologies such as electronic stability control and common rail injection gasoline and diesel engines, as well as new business operations like MBTech Engineering GmbH, is unmatched.
